Anything else you would like others to know about your experience with this company? The Editor seems to have the communications down to a science and is very cooperative. Photography of the samples was lovely. Tech Editing is spot on. Knit Now has my favourite style sheet; very easy to use. Yarn support does not always arrive quickly, however it does travel half way around the world and I am appreciative that the magazine accepts International submissions.

Anything else you would like others to know about your experience with this company? Payment was not made on time. They lost my sample in the mail. It was insured and it was not sent in time to activate the insurance(Royal Post limits the time between purchase and post). First check was sent with incorrect information. At the time, there was no direct payment option. Editor was great to work with, tech editors were not very communicative, and obviously the staff in charge of mailing samples was not so great.

Anything else you would like others to know about your experience with this company? Sample has not YET been returned, but I’m sure that it will be. There was a minor mix up with the payment, and I was paid a few weeks late according to the terms of the contract, but not really a big deal. I emailed and it was fixed that day. Otherwise this was a super easy pub. Easy to work with the magazine, easy on my end. My only gripe with this magazine (which is nothing to do with the magazine itself) is that shipping samples costs so much! Otherwise I would submit all the time. I might submit anyway despite the shipping costs, because rights revert after 4 months, which is great, and I appreciated that no one bothered me, I didn’t bother them, I sent in my sample and pattern, they published it, easy peasy.

Anything else you would like others to know about your experience with this company? Payment terms (theirs) are for payment after publication of the issue, not on receipt of the work. This meant an extraordinarily long wait for payment for work that had already been completed and sent months in advance. Sample never returned despite paying return postage. Designer has to pay for postage of sample both ways. Yarn support disorganised and very slow to arrive.
